Aspen Dental - Ripped Off
I had used Aspen Dental in Latham, NY for a couple of years. When most of my dental work was finished, they tried to talk me into Invisiligns.
I told them that unless I had enough credit on my Dental First Account I could not afford them because I didn't have a full time job anymore and I couldn't afford them. They assured me I had enough credit left so I agreed. After wearing the invisilgns for a month - I get a bill for over $2000. I went to the office and I told them that I did not agree to any excess charges and was told not to worry about it.
I also told them that since I couldn't afford the excess bill that I didn't want the remaining invisiligns. I agreed to let them put what was left on my Dental First Account toward them and asked them to cancel the bill.
They did use the Dental first and sent me a bill for the remaining $1500+. I have written several letters and made phone calls that have not been returned.
Last month I got a letter from a collection agency.
I am 72 years old and feel that I've been ripped off. They have wrecked my credit and continue to ignore my calls and letters.
I would caution anyone not to trust them because they don't tell the truth and once they have you hooked - couldn't care less.
Reason of review: Problems with payment.
Preferred solution: Drop the charges and get me out of collection since I was falsely told that my Dental First would cover it. .
Aspen Dental Cons: Overcharging and shoddy work, False charges, Being lied to.
Location: 231 Wade Road Ext, Latham, NY 12110

That $2000 charge you did not authorize helped the office make bonus that month. Thank they want to give their bonuses back?
Not a chance. Good luck on Invisalign doing much on a 72 year old man. Things move really slowly when patients get to be that old.
Wise up and find an honest independent dentist. No telling how much unnecessary dental work has been foisted on you in the time you have been going to Aspen.
