Aspen Dental is not a Dentist owned business. They are a Corporation that hires Dentists. They have a business plan that operates around getting $450 cash from each client on their initial visit and using financing as a tool to keep customers. I went to my first AD in...

You are one of the few smart patients to figure this scam out. Bet you did not know Aspen has been busted by 4 state attorneys-general.

When you look for a new dentist, make sure the new on owns his own practice.

There are still plenty of guys like that. Best bet are ex-military dentists who still use silver amalgam for fillings on back teeth.

I received an immediate partial constructed for the front tooth in the top of my mouth. It was very slanted. So in my mouth it made my front tooth look crooked. The Dentist tried to fix it as best that she could. They went on to work on the bottom teeth. When it was...

Dissatisfied service

I paid out of pocket for dentures after they were made I had nothing bur problems. I need 4 implants on bottom due to gum damage and dentures don't stay in. I went to a different oral surgeon because his price was way cheaper then aspen. He told me after x-rays and exam that my bits was completely off and that's why I couldn't wear them. I went back to aspen and the new dentist I saw was amazing he made them make me a new set of dentures. I'm still having a few issues but need the implants bad. I don't understand how aspen can charge so much for implants. People can't afford that and not everyone's insurance will pay a portion. Whoever makes the dentures at the longview aspen needs to pay closet attention to what she is doing.

User's recommendation: Make sure they fit before you leave.

Implant are expensive because they are complicated to do and when they fail, there is a lot of work redoing them. I charge about $2000 each for them, and that is cheap in the Topeka area.

A$pen is the last place in the world anyone should go for implants. BEWARE of people who quote you low fees for "mini-implants." These are quite different and fail with regularity.

I'm owed money

I had been to one of the aspen dental locations in Washington pa 15301 on Washington rd. I started my plan for the work I needed it was gonna be roughly over $1000. So we got a loan fortiva. I have insurance as well: my next visit i went and told the lady working the front that my insurance has changed. She proceeded to tell me it did not. A month later I got a bill from you guys. Not worried about that, Im worried about this loan Ive been paying on for nothing. I did no work with you guys and I do not plan on it after that situation. I would like you guys to give Back the loan to Fortiva so I can then be credit back all the money I have already paid on this loan. Thank you.

User's recommendation: Go for it.

Sorry but patients with Tardive Dyskinesia can rarely wear lower dentures, as their tongue moves around too much. Four implants to hold the lower in would be the only hope. Don't even think that a sleazy outfit like Aspen could even begin to do a project like that.

Subquality service

I needed a bite adjustment and the scheduler wanted me to wait 1 1/2 weeks for a 3 minute appointment. She was rude and dismissive as was the office manager. I wouldn't go back there if they paid me to work on my mouth!

I had a cleaning done and she was very thorough and on time and felt like I cared for. The girls at front desk were also very good.

Price gouging.

Following a complete checkup, a month later I was scheduled for a simple surface replacement on one tooth, with a quote of $184.45, and requiring only a topical. I had the tooth cap replaced, within 15 minutes, but then told a second tooth, at the same time, was also recapped. This was done without my knowledge until after the fact. I was also charged an addition $65.55. When I questioned this, online, they told me this second cavity did not show up in X-ray. the xraDy. the xrays.

User's recommendation: Only for the rich. Cannot trust what they say.

Rudeness by staff

your office mgr. at Oracle and Wetmore in Tucson, Az.told me I can't look at an implant mock-up that was on her desk. I said if it's here in the open, I can look at it. If she doesn't want it seen, put it where it can't be seen. She again said I can't look at it because it's HIPPA protected. I told her HIPPA isn't law it's just a set of regulations, but she ignored me.

User's recommendation: watch out for rude staff.

Bad service

I just got a check up done. My insurance covers a cleaning with my check up. I did not receive my cleaning. My insurance only covers the cleaning and check up ONCE per year. I was also told Aspen does root canals in their building. They Instead decided to refer me to a very expensive endodontist a mile or so away. This is the Festus, MO Aspen Dental.

User's recommendation: Stay away.

Just because your insurance covers something ONCE a year doesn't mean that is the right frequency for you. Not many young dentists who work for Aspen Crime Syndicate do molar root canals.

Please stop believing all the advertising you read.

Find an honest, independent dentist and stick with him. Corporate clinics will rob your blind

This company is about money

Tried to get a cleaning. An hour and a half later, I was told they would only do the more thorough cleaning of guns/teeth only (almost $400 dollars with insurance). I had seen a periodontist within the past year that said my gums were fine; the hygienist said he was wrong because she went to some conferences

User's recommendation: Use a local dentist.

A$pen's biggest scam- turning a regular cleaning into a "deep scaling and root planing" with a lot of add-ones. Nearly every patient gets shafted with this technique.

Dissatisfaction

First, the office is clean, the front desk staff and medical assistants are friendly and professional.... I made appointments for routine cleaning. Missed last appointment only due to Covid-19 office closure. Told I would be required to start over as a new patient and charged for X-rays, cancer screenings, never received the cleaning, because they told me my gums were thin and would require a deep clean at $1800.00 The doctors portion was $1700.00. I decided to get a second opinion, the new dentist stated my gums and teeth were healthy and only required a routine cleaning twice yearly unless I developed other problems. There so many elderly individuals in the office, I worry that they are being taken advantage of.

User's recommendation: Beware.

The poor and the elderly are Aspen Dental Crime Syndicate's favorite targets. Good you got out of there before they emptied your bank account and put you in debt. Given the chance, they will scam you out of your last nickel.

Dissatisfied with service

DFrom the time I got my denture (not my first one) October 30 till today , February 3, when they finally got the fit right was 3 months. My previous denture, over many years, took only one or two post visits to correct a high spot or two. This time I went in every week with a fit complaint. Two weeks ago they put in a temporary liner which finally made it fit well. This past visit, they said it may last several months but then after that I would have to pay additional. I like the look of the denture and the people were friendly, but the process to get it right just took FOREVER.

User's recommendation: Don’t go there for a denture.

It takes forever because the only suckers who will work for those shysters are young and inexperienced dentists. They may have constructed a couple of dentures in dental school, and are not real good at it.

Even if they were good, the labs that Aspen forces them to use are abysmal. Next time go to an independent dentist and not some cheesy corporate clown club.

Never answers the telephone

I have been calling the Temple Texas location to try and reschedule my appointment and every time I call I'm either put on hold for over 30 minutes or until I hang up. This has been going on for sometime. The person will answer the phone and put me on hold and never return. All I want is a return call or someone to answer the phone.

User's recommendation: Good luck tring to contact them per telephone.

This may be Devine Intervention. God may be trying to steer you out of harm's way.

Take it as a sign to be done with Aspen Dental.

It is bad enough to lose money being overcharged, but many patients who go there are seriously mistreated. Time to find an independent dentist who is honest and competent and owns his own practice.
