The chances of a young dental graduate making a good denture at a sleazy joint like Aspen is probably about the same as the chance of Hailey's Comet returning to earth early. Why you chose a chop shop like Aspen for new dentures is beyond comprehension. Maybe a competent independent dentist can reline it for you to make it wearable.

Billing is a cluster-f_ _ _ at this shyster chain. One hand does not know what the other is doing.

Nobody want to take responsibility for any billing mistakes. Your only mistake is to get a lawyer on the case.

Of course you will have to pay for this. Better to pay an honest lawyer than a bunch of crooks running a dental chain clinic.

That is what you get for not taking care of your teeth and wanting it pulled rather than try to save it. Extractions can be quite traumatic in adults with long roots and dense jawbone.

Getting a refund is like extracting light from a Black hole in deep space. It is next to impossible.

Aspen Dental is the worst Dental practice in the world! Over one year ago I ended up having a bridge put on my 4 front teeth. I paid over $2,400.00 that they told me insurance wasn’t covering! I received bill from them a month later saying I owed another $1,500.00!...

Normal price for a bridge unit is about $1100. So 4 unit bridge would cost about $4400.

Bridges are covered at 50% on most insurances but subject to a yearly maximum of $1000-1500. So your part probably not really out of line. The sad thing is most competent dentists do implants now and not bridges, because bridges require cutting down sound teeth. Of course, the newbie dentists at Aspen don't know how to do implants, and would have to refer them out.

When they refer things out, they do not earn commission. This is the sort of nonsense you get when you go to a shyster corporate outfit instead of a regular independent dentist.

Aspen Dental in Concord, Ohio - Horrible!!!!

I hadn't been to a dentist for a few years. I had a tooth that had a cavity in it that I wanted fixed. I went in for my appointment (with no dental insurance.) Aspen took xrays and said I had 4 teeth that needed root canals and several other cavities. They set me up with care credit (I believe it was a $1,000 credit line) and went on to explain that all of the procedures would be over $10,000! Or, I could just schedule to have those teeth extracted for a few thousand. I walked out in tears! I decided to get a second opinion. I had 2 cavities, and did NOT need a root canal! How is what they're doing legal???

How is a scam operation like that legal? Actually, dental clinics owned by investors who are not dentists are illegal in most states.

Aspen is running a scam against state boards, claiming the employee dentists who work at the offices actually "own" the offices. This is a total lie. So then they give dentists a very low commission, and threaten to fire them if they don't bill high enough revenues. So the poor young dentists, many of them deep in student debt, are forced to diagnose and perform unnecessary treatment.

Then many times the front office manager wants to make bonus as well. Many times dentists say the OFFICE MANAGER adds and bills bogus treatment so she will stay in good standing with management.

Aspen Dental- it is not an office, but an Organized Crime Syndicate! Write your state legislator and demand your state prohibitions against non-dentist practice ownership be enforced.

To be honest, a missing temporary crown will not cause harm to the tooth, unless the inside of the root canal is exposed. It causes cosmetic embarrassment.

These rascals probably already charged out for your crown and have your money. Therefore, they have little incentive to run down to the office and treat you for a missing temporary. Amazingly, most of the time the employee dentists at these dumpy clinics are not given a key to the office nor an alarm code. They could not get in the office to treat you even if they wanted to.

Forget the fiction that Aspen offices are independently owned.

They are all owned by the same greasy investor group, Leonard Green and Partners LLC. If you think they give a cr@p about patient welfare, you're delusional.

Your first visit is free--if you don't have insurance. Not if you don't use insurance, if you don't have it. I cancelled and will be going elsewhere. You can't trust people like this. Good job losing the thousands of dollars of dental work I would've sent your way.

I you had sent thousands of dollars of dental care "their way," you would have spent thousands of dollars of substandard dentistry you would have to pay an honest dentist to do over correctly. It is actually great they scared you off.

You might have fallen for their overtreatment ploys. PLEASE forget the *** corporate dental chains and find an honest independent dentist you can trust.

Was going to get work done and paid 2,000. First quote was 6,000. They got it down to 4,400 for the work. Called to schedule and they said they needed at least 3,300. This was after they said they only needed half. Asked for a refund and it's now been two weeks that I haven't received my refund. No one wants to help with the issue either. I suggest that no one deals with these people!!!!

Aspen Dental is cash-strapped with a lot of debt. Some patients wait as long as six months to get a legitimate credit balance refunded.

Heaven help you if you borrowed money to pay it. Their loan shark will be a nightmare of usuary and late charges.

That's the way they roll at an organized crime syndicate owned by Wall Street private equity types. Don't think other fleabag corporate clinics like Affordable Dentures, Coast, Great Expressions, or the like will be any better.

Practically the only solution Aspen hacks know is pull all the teeth. It would be bad enough if they could construct wearable dentures, but they cannot even do that.

So people like your wife are left toothless with a sorry denture they cannot wear. It works so much better if even a couple of tooth roots are left to support the denture. Aspen started long ago in Syracuse as a ratty yank-em-all denture operation, and continues in that heritage to this very day. Find an older independent experienced dentist and see if he can help you.

Making good dentures takes time. Top-notch dentures are going to cost you $3500 or more.
