Aspen Dental - Permenant damage

I intend to Sue for the harm and damages caused by your negligent dental care and the subsequent failure of your office and management to address my concerns responsibly.

Following the procedures performed under your care, I developed a serious MRSA infection, despite having no prior history of such infections. This initial infection was severe enough to require hospitalization and has left me medically vulnerable and more susceptible to future infections.

Specifically:

I was hospitalized for 6 days due to the original MRSA infection, with imaging and X-ray evidence documenting the severity.

I later endured an additional 16-day hospital stay related to further infection, which occurred as a direct result of my increased susceptibility caused by the original MRSA infection and subsequent complications.

I have sought further evaluations at Refresh Dental and with University of Michigan Maxillofacial Surgeons, who confirmed the seriousness of my condition.

I am now scheduled for two oral surgeries: one involving my jawbone and one to remove the implants, followed by a prolonged recovery period.

In addition to the physical injuries, this ordeal has had a devastating effect on my personal and professional life. As a survivor of human trafficking, this was supposed to be a time of restoration and rebuilding. I have been actively working to heal while using my voice in public speaking engagements to raise awareness about human trafficking. The pain, repeated hospitalizations, and ongoing complications have severely limited my ability to carry out this mission, which is central to both my recovery and my purpose.

Beyond the medical consequences, I was treated with disrespect and disregard by your district charlesI am at a loss Instead of compassion, I was met with dismissiveness, and my circumstances were downplayed.

Chsrles also made inappropriate remarks referencing my being on Medicaid, which I consider a form of prejudice and judgment against my background as a trafficking survivor. Such conduct is discriminatory, unprofessional, and entirely unacceptable.

The negligence in both treatment and follow-up has caused me significant physical pain, emotional suffering, financial hardship, loss of professional opportunities, and ongoing health risks.

Evidence in Support of My Claims

I have compiled and retained documentation that will be submitted in support of my case, including but not limited to:

Hospital records and discharge summaries from both stays (6-day and 16-day admissions)

Imaging and X-ray results documenting the extent of infection and damage

Medical notes and surgical recommendations from Refresh Dental and University of Michigan Maxillofacial Surgeons

Records of prescribed medications and treatments directly linked to the complications

Correspondence and witness statements reflecting the dismissive, prejudicial, and unprofessional conduct of district manager charles and office staff, which my case worker was present for my conversations with michael.

Unless an acceptable settlement can be reached within 30 days of your receipt of this notice, I will proceed with filing a lawsuit against you seeking damages for:

Loss of quality of life
