Have 6 teeth on bottom wanted filling fixed would not fix until they cleaned x-ray flouride, then told me it would cost 7,000.00 to fix them. went to another dentist and are being fixed now for 800.00.

My new dentists said it was a waste of time because to crown them cavities needed to be fixed first anyways so why not fix them first and see if it works iam 64 no insurance and now they trying to take me to collections.......callled collections told them my story and they sent the bill back to them. Don't understand how they can use people to make money

Don't understand how A$pen can cheat the poor and elderly? Here is the recipe:

Have greedy Wall Street investors buy up a chain of dental clinics.

Staff corporate headquarters with a bunch of soul-less executive types. Give them bonuses based on how much revenue they can squeeze out of the dental offices.

Staff the dental offices with former used-car and time-share condo salespeople.

Hire young dentists and hygienist right our of school who are desperate for any job to pay off student loans. Then threaten them with firing if they don't produce enough revenues for the office, no matter if the patients need the treatment or not.

If attorneys-general slam the cheesy clinic chain, just admit no wrongdoing, pay the fine, and go back to the same crooked business practices ASAP.

That is the way A$pen rolls!

To seasoned dentist.... How has this chain of thieves continued doing what they do??? They really need to be shut down!!!

They are operating illegally anyway. It is illegal for non-dentists to own clinics in most states.

The worst sanctions State Boards have is to revoke dental licenses. If an owner does not have a license to start with, (like the partners of Leonard Green & Partners, LLC, who own Aspen), there is not a thing the Boards can do about them.

Occasionally Attorneys-general slam fine them, like happened in Pennsylvania, New York, Michigan, and Massachusetts. A$pen just pays the fines and goes back doing the same thing. Remember A$pen and other crooked DSOs like it have teams of lawyers to fight lawsuits which threaten it.

That is why they are NEVER scared when patients try to sue them. They got lawyers like the common man can never afford.

The only remedy is to write your states legislator and demand your state board of dentistry develop ownership tests so fleabag outfits like A$pen cannot claim they merely "manage" the dental office for a dentist who "owns" it. In actuality, the dentist is merely the owner of a fake shell corporation which owns nothing. The dentist front man does not even have a corporate bank account to put the patient deposits into!

All patient money goes into Aspen's accounts!

Pray the Fed raises interest rates. That will probably kill this highly-leveraged corporation, as well as others like Coast, Dental One, Heartland, Great Expressions, and similar Wall Street garbage.
