I just moved to Virginia and went to the local Aspen Dental just to establish myself with them as I anticipated future extractions. I was very direct in explaining I'm on disability and I cannot afford dentures.
(I only have 9 teeth left in my mouth.) I was adamant. However, they ran the numbers with my Humana insurance and told me it's only going to cost me a total of $268 out of pocket. While that's still not peanuts to me, I agreed to go ahead as long as that was all it was going to cost me. I paid $120 down and was told the remainder of $148 would be due at my four-month checkup.
When the dentures were ready, I went in and they tried to hit me with a $338 extra charge for something the dentist did while doing fillings when preparing for impressions. (They were included in the whole approved process.) I told them I didn't have that, they were going to have to bill me, although I had no intention of paying that. The dentures cut into my gums when they fitted them. After three adjustments, they still hurt but I thought I just needed time to adjust to them.
After several short periods of wearing them, they got no better and I was going to go in for an adjustment until I received a bill in the mail for almost $1,000. Today, I took the dentures and the bill back to them along with a note stating I never agreed to this amount. Please return my $120. I'm not holding my breath for that money though.
Note: The doctor and staff were very nice during the process. No complaints there.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. They are willing to send my records to a different dentist.
My dentures that supposedly are guaranteed to keep up any needs with them will be lost. There was no financial offers.
Now dental:
When I started it was, like most, it was due to tooth issues. I told them my insurance and they said I was "covered". Yes, barely. Covered for X-rays first visit.
I'm handed a quote for all kinds of services and visits. I went home in tears. Fast forward to current. I eventually had work done and partial lower denture made.
From the very start those lowers didn't fit right, painful, cut into my gums, and rocked back and forth. After several trips and them doing the same lining (I think it's called) over and over. After another extraction, they just shoved the fake teeth in the same plate and charged more I even got a promise to remake it if I had to come back and after coming back twice more, still nothing.
Now I went for a dental release for my surgeries and they said I had to have my only 3 teeth left taken out and another new denture made and you guessed it, at my expense!!! So, I suffer pain and mobility issues that will put me in a wheelchair or pay all the money out to begin mashed foods and never loose the weight needed to have the most serious surgery needed!

I went in with a partial and my real tooth broke off while vacationing in Puerto Rico.. wanted to see if a tooth could be added to my plate or partial ..
The dentist stated I would have to send it off for two weeks; They suggested implants.. Who would have know she was pulling the broken tooth as well as the others to give me a full denture.. I took pictures of my teeth because she said all my teeth was broken.. No they wasnt ..
The full denture wouldnt stay up.. it was to big.. She put oxidant on the back and a rolled piece of gauge to hold it up and sent me own my way.. My friend was waiting and I like I cant believe it..
He went back inside because he thought it was coming to be 1 extraction not 5!! He wanted instructions on how to care for me.. I went back they filled the denture with liner to make it stay up.. The teeth on the sides we crocked..
My mouth is small to small for all them teeth!! They said just where it for a couple of days.. My cheeks are polled out my mouth is bucked barely can shout it.. How can I conduct my job speaking with customers all day..
I cant talk!! All this time I cant eat!! Who could sleep!! Wearing a mask!!
I go back at this point the damage is done.. what can I do!! They literally cut the teeth off even and the dentist kept saying it look so good!! Look so good right!!
I was like you make me laugh!!!
Im a intelligent person but this is mentally draining n depressing!!! They really dont care

I have been going to Aspen dental for years. I first went to the Bridgeton location in Stl then my insurance merged which dental and medical is together now.
So, once that happened the girls didnt pay attention and put the wrong insurance info in the system back in 2022. I had my appointment then received a 300$ bill and I spoke with the office manager and had to go to the regional manager. She then said it was taken care of. I was seen in 2023 at the Brentwood location had no issues.
Now in 2024 I go in they ask me the same thing back in 2022 and Im like really I been through this. So the receptionist called my insurance she stated they told her my insurance termed. I been at the same job since 2019 I pay for dental and medical insurance. I took it upon myself to call as a memo and the man faxed the manger the break down of my insurance.
She said sorry for your inconvenience and all this by then I been there a hour my appointment was at 2pm I left work early to be there 1:45 didnt leave until 3:45 and then the manger told them to put me in a spot the person canceled and they let me sit another 20 minutes I went back up to the desk and the girl then said Im sorry we have too many people scheduled we cant fit you in!!! Im beyond angry I left my job hours early had to argue with the manger and nobody knew how to do anything but say the manger is with a patient now she cant talk again. I will never go back to Aspen Dental or refer anyone.
I have been in healthcare since 2009 I know good customer service and I know my job. If those girls know nothing about insurance and entering the correct info they need to be fired period.
Preferred solution: I wanted my teeth cleaned then leaving work hours early then I was rescheduled twice already because you didn’t have enough staff. This was the only office to work with the times I get off work now I have to search for another office

I need help... I'm having a terrible experience with Aspen Dental, Millington, TN.
First off, the young people at the desk we're nice and did try, but don't know what they are doing.
Other than that, Aspen dental is no better than other dentists. I went in March 9th, Saturday, because I need an abutment/crown. Aspen dental did the xrays and said they would call me on Monday and e-mail me the payment info and breakdown costs. No, call/email for 10 days.
During that time I call 3 times and left 3 different voicemails and even left e-mail. No response period at all. During this time my son (Myles) has a severe toothache, so I called Tuesday to schedule an appointment. The representative said Myles is scheduled for Saturday at 11am and also I scheduled my other son (Jacob) for a check up on April 4th at 4:30pm.
In addition, I told the representative, I have not heard back from them about my procedure, she puts me on hold and assures me that she will contact them/their manager and someone would call me ("she even puts me on hold and makes sure everything is in"). No one did! I show up Saturday, 3/23 at 11am. for Myles, severe toothache appointment...and 1.
they don't even have it is the system. 2.They still have not contacted me about my dental issues 3. They don't even have my son's Saturday, March 23rd at 11am in, but some how have my other son's, Jacob's in for April 4th.
1. Never contacted me about my procedure, even after 3 VMs and a representative said they would personally contact them and make sure.
Never looked up prices or anything on my procedures.
2. Arrive Saturday for my son's severe toothache appointment... to find out they don't even have it in the system, but somehow have my other son's trivial check appointment April 4th in.
3. Also, Saturday morning, The lady said okay, Im booking an appointment for Monday, March 25th at 5pm.
I said are you sure its in, she said yes.
Monday comes around and they call me and said that we overbooked Monday, Myles s 5pm is cancel.
Currently, my child has a toothache, no effort, call, or follow up.
And Ive called back with VM and no response. You cant make this stuff up.
-Super unorganized and unprofessional
-No communication
-Lack of care and concern for others
-No follow up
Denture don’t fit terrible job
I fill terrible because the dentures are terrible ihad reach out to the dental office and I was told to wait a week a terrible so long as I made a payment they rush you in and out

July 29th i rcvd a call to confirm my appmt for today july 30th at 2pm . The appmt has been booked for 6 months.
I drove 25 miles each way to North Attleboro and the receptionist advd my appmt was cancelled and Aspen called me to cancel. That is a lie and the receptionist advd me no hygenist until October , Really and told me they will call me when the hygenist returns. Is this the way you treat you long term customers? i am an elderly person .
I ctcd the insurance company to advise the situation. My thoughts why didnt they call last week or 2 days before like other companies instead of having a voice mail to confirm my appmt. Disugusted and upset all the money i hav spent at this Aspen Dental. I will be looking for another dentist and to think how inconsiderate .
I understand certain situations are happening but October . The workers are excllent whomever is running this particulat Aspen Dental may i suggest get moving and take care of your customers or patients.

I recently bought dentures here, but was unsatisfied with them. So, I took them back.
Instead of getting them fixed, they ground some of the teeth on my brand new dentures and called it good.
From what I see, if you don't spend four or five thousand dollars there, they don't want much to do with you. Once again, the dentures I got were a terrible waste of money and I will not be back.

Got me as a customer. Lost me as a patient.
Need I say more? Okay, sure... They called the day before follow up appointments and cancelled them, citing employee illnesses, which brings into question the level of sanitation at this particular location.
Haven't returned several messages left by me. I'm beyond fed up.

My lower dentures cannot chew; it really hurts. I went back five times and they still hurt.
I keep going back and there's no good outcome.
After I leave, I keep returning. I'm tired.

They want me to pay a bill that I didn't know I had. I asked for a detailed bill in writing but still can't get one.
They fitted me for a crown and the dentist couldn't even get in; the young lady didn't know what she was doing.
Now, I guess I'm supposed to pay for two. Why can't they mail me the bill?

I picked up my final Denture and bottom snap in denture after wearing them for 3 days they were causing pain and cutting into my gums so bad that I was bleeding I called to schedule an appointment I was told that they couldn't make any adjustments until after I wore them for 2 weeks I again said Im in pain and bleeding I need to get them adjusted ASAP She stated that they didnt have any available appointments for 15 days out Always available to take your money But not available to take care of their patients when needed

More than once I was told one thing, only to have them change what was said and basically called me a liar. I was being treated by the dentist, when she and the assistant began conversing in another language.
I found it unnerving and unprofessional. I've had one of the financial employees be very rude to me (it was actually overheard by the office manager, and she apologized to me).
That same person has been rude to me before.They were late getting me my antibiotics that I needed to take an hour before my appointment. I finally reached the end of my tolerance level fighting with them.
