Like getting jabbed 10 times because they don't know how to apply Novocaine? Like having that as the only option? Like being sent home with only a script for Ibuprofen for the pain? Then come to Aspen Dental where torture reigns!

First of all, dentists have not used Novacaine (brand of Procaine) in over 60 years. Lidocaine is used most commonly.

What is the option to local anesthesia. You want to pay an anesthesiologist $300 for general anesthesia??? Sometimes you get a block with the first injection, sometimes you don't. Some patients are harder to numb than others.

On the bottom, it takes an average of 10 minutes to take effect. Rushed Aspen dentists don't have that much time to waste. Hard to say what you needed for pain since you did not say what you had done.

There is much pressure on us not to give narcotic prescritpions, and 800mg Ibupfrofen is as effective as codeine compounds. It was a mistake to go to a chop shop like Aspen instead of an independent dentist.

My husband made me at appointment for our local Aspen Dental on 10/28/19 for the following day 10/29/19. I'm a new patient and went in for the X-Rays. Towards the end of that procedure the young tech tripped over the cord connecting the machine and the other end in my...

This wouldn't have happened if you had saved the tooth in question rather than insisting on having it pulled. Sometimes the tooth with the huge hole is actually not the one that is hurting.

Sometimes definitive diagnosis is difficult, especially when the patient has preconceived ideas of what is wrong, that are not really correct. If he had not extracted #13, you would have just waited until it got a cavity then demanded that it be extracted as well. Saving and taking care of your teeth is an alien concept to you. Trouble is, no good dentists really want patients who desire their teeth be pulled one by one.

They are depressing human beings to treat! Good luck in your further neglect!

Hope you are one of the patients who can actually wear dentures one day. Not everyone can, you know.

Great job spelling! In what grade did you drop out of school?

What would motivate a person to rave about a company on a consumer complaint website? You know that will count as just another complaint, don't you. Glad you haven't been screwed over by Aspen YET.

Everyone is eventually. Don't press your luck.

You are spot on in you final analysis. The employees at Aspen know they won't be there long.

So their only motivation is making commission the months they are there. They don't care if you are in pain. They don't care if you are happy with treatment. They don't care if you come back.

The only thing they want is for you to sign on the dotted line for a huge treatment plan, then collect the money up front for the Aspen corporate bank account. Independent are in for the long haul and are dependent on long-term patient satisfaction. They have a vested interest in pleasing you.

By the way, it is totally irresponsible to take a full series of x-rays a do a complete exam when a patient is infected and in pain. The goal should be to eliminate the pain and infection.

Aspen Dental - They're terrible
I had to go back over 20 times with temporary one in Cranberry twp. Asked a couple times if my mouth was just too small since my original teeth were crooked n overlapped each other. When dr came in to do my permanent ones, she said, oh yea, you think theres too many teeth n ripped out the 2 end ones n tossed them over her shoulder. I could never get my bottom ones to fit right n they reimbursed me for them. But my top ones are still 2 teeth short. If i hadn't needed them , I'd of gotten up n shoved those 2 teeth were the sun dont shine on the Dr n walked out.

Usually when teeth are omitted in a small arch, it is a premolar in each quadrant, NOT a second molar. Second molars are made for chewing.

Almost guaranteed your dentist did not bother to view the teeth in wax try-in stage. Another patient looked for a cheap denture, believed a TV ad, and got rooked.

As PT Barnum said a long time ago, there is a sucker born every minute. And there are plenty of crooks like Aspen Dental managers to shaft them out of hard-earned money.

Aspen Dental in Fairfield Township, Ohio - 7 time cancer survivor refused because of limited insurance and income

I am a 7 time cancer survivor, 4 of which were brain, and I was refused service because I have limited insurance and income. What is worse is I was originally told my insurance was accepted only to arrive at the bridgewater falls location and forced to sit for more than an hour as walkins passed me by before I was informed about my lower income to Aspen dental was affecting the service.

You have had it rough enough with your cancer. Aspen dental isn't worth it.

Aspen is a cancer, everything aspen touches gets infected with pain and suffering. Go to a dentist who will treat you right.

I am sorry to hear of your cancer, but happy to hear you survived it. You got me a little confused.

Fabricating custom dentures for patients is labor intensive and entails a lot of lab cost. Why do you think yours should cost less just because you don't have much money? That fact does not affect the cost of denture fabrication at all. The big mistake you made was going to a one-stop chop shop like Aspen instead of a regular dentist.

The only way you are going to get good dentures cheap is at a dental school. You get a cheaper fee, but trade it for much longer appointments with students waiting to get checked by instructors.

I don't understand why they just did not give you a written prescription to take the the pharmacy. That is what most normal dentists do.

To tell you the truth, it may be be pharmacy's fault. Countless times I have called in a prescription. I can never talk to a pharmacist. All I can do is leave the prescription on a recorded line.

Many times the pharmacies do not check the messages, and claim it was never called in. Wal-Mart and CVS pharmacies are especially negligent doing this.

Don't know why you wanted a tooth pulled. An even bigger mystery is why you went to a sleazebag outfit like Aspen to have it done.

These are probably ulcers caused by the Herpes virus, which is present in most adult mouths. It frequently happens after trauma.

There is nothing you can do; it will heal in about 10 days.

Why on earth did you have a tooth extracted rather than save it? Why on earth did you go to a corporate chop shop instead of a regular dentist in private practice????

Get you in with "free" and I was told I needed $10,000 worth of dental, but they were so generous they would do it for $6,000. Settled for an extraction. At check out I paid my bill and left. 3 months later they sent me a bill for hundreds more. The dentists there come and go. They are the worst in my opinion and would warn everyone not to go there.

Aspen dental must have some highly skilled scammers. They wanted to do all your work for $10,000 but got you to settle for one extraction for $6,000. Aspen dental sure are crooks but they have big balls when it comes to overselling stuff.

You are right. Nobody wants to work for a joint like Aspen for long.

Dentists come and go like flies on a fresh dog turd.

"Free" at Aspen = free to rip you off. It is an organized crime syndicate, not a health care outfit.
