Aspen Dental in Yakima, Washington - Seek other dentists first. This co. Is way expensive for haphazard work, and unneeded services. For instance I was charged 3,000 for deep cleaning.
- Charged for services not needed and overcharged
If you had indeed received 4 quadrants of periodontal scaling and root planing, it probably would have cost about $1200 at most dentists offices, and taken 3 1 hour appointments. If you got it all in one appointment without being numbed up, you certainly did not receive a "periodontal cleaning." The biggest scam at Aspen is fudging pocket depths to make it look like patients have periodontal disease when they do not.
Then they can upcharge for cleanings. Just remember: When Aspen talks about "deep cleaning," it is talking about your wallet, not your teeth.
Aspen Dental - Wonderful
- Excellent systems
- Open later than other dentist offices
- Are constantly taking new patients
Aspen Dental in New York, New York - Worst experience I ever had at any dentist clinic. From staff to doctor everyone looked unprofessional. Seems they had a pre-mind setup on what to tell patient so that they can extract money.
That is so funny! You were looking for one crooked corporate flim-flam outfit online, and ended up at another!
Never would it occur to you to seek a competent independent dentist who could really help you. Incidentally, why would you be searching for Affordable Dentures unless you wanted all your teeth ripped out of your skull and cr@ppy dentures put in? Do you have a death wish? You can't have a "check-up" until you have an initial exam.
Since you were there for the first time, you were having an initial exam, NOT a check-up. An initial exam is quite a bit more involved. If it has been years, since your last cleaning, you needs a SCALING AND ROOT PLANING and not a polish prophy. It does not do any good to polish the teeth when there is loads of tartar under the gums.
Of course the treatment plan was a scam. Of course they try to get all your money up front. The owners are Wall Street private equity crooks, not dentists.
What kind of treatment do you expect? Geez, wise up and go to a dentist you can trust.
- Friendly reception
- Overpriced
- Should not be listed along with affordable dentists
- Pay up front policy ridiculous
Aspen Dental in Mattoon, Illinois - Questions

Yeah, they are running an insurance scam and every other sort of scam. But don't worry, they are equal opportunity scammers.
The scam uninsured patients, too. I once had a college kid in for a second opinion. I even took my own x-rays to be clear. Aspen had planned to put fillings in 13 of his pristine teeth.
I found absolutely no cavities. When Wall Street private equity investors own clinics instead of licensed dentists, no good will come to the public.
They want and love young dentists. They are easier to bend into aspen's way of running scams.
Aspen Dental in Parma, Ohio - Horrible Dental Service + Rude Customer Service
Update by user Jul 19
There is no way a root scaling and planing is done in 40 minutes!!!!

Completely dissatisfied with my treatment at this office. During the initial visit Dr. Lindsey McMahan looked extremely worn-out and spent 3 minutes with me at most. I was hardly pushed towards an unnecessary service, which was charged but not performed! Unlike with other dentists during the “deep cleaning” session, the doctor didn't even show up. Other than the initial exam all prices are 20-30% higher than competitive local dentists. After the visit discussion about my experience was conducted awfully rude and unsupportive. I can’t tell about other Aspen Dental offices, but avoid this Parma office like a plague.Aspen Dental in Saint Louis, Missouri - Refund

Yes, many have, but Aspen gets sued all the time and is lawyered up. It is much easier to get your state attorney general to act, or sue them yourself if you have a decent case.
