Aspen Dental
Reviews and Complaints
RIP OFF
DO NOT TRUST this Aspen dental or any other. The minute they take you into their little room to discuss your dental plan run for the door.
DO NOT PAY A THING until you compare pricing! They are way overpriced when compared to other dentists. And they recommend services that are not needed. My son who has never even had a cavity filled before he went in due to pain.
He had 2 cavities. After discussing his much needed dental plan he was told he needed root planing and 2 cavities filled. He was charged $2,000.00 for his complete plan, but left that appointment with just an upper root planing with addition appointments to come (included in their plan).
Due to the nature of how he felt about paying that and still leaving in pain he decided not to continue with them. He subsequently saw 2 other dentists who both said he did NOT need a root planing (especially at his age).
They both said that Aspen is like the Walmart of dentists and that they scare people into thinking they need services they dont!
I called Aspen and they said he had $700 due back to him and would call me by the end of the day. They never did. I called a week later and no one answered so I left a message. No return call.
I called again today and now was told they dont owe anything and that he used his complete plan. So he paid $2,000.00 and never had the 2 cavities filled that he originally went there for.
When I looked up Aspen as a whole theyve had several lawsuits for their business practices and had to pay back millions! BUYER BEWARE.
I'm still trying to get my permanent dentures. They canceled my services due to them not submitting their claim to my insurance company. I have had these temporary dentures for 8 months and they are
I had Hmo in which they accepted but after two weeks they stopped taking HMO, so I mgot a PPO. Things were ok until they failed to send the claim to my insurance company.
Afterwards, I was told I had to pay $1790 out if pocket. I tried to get a payment arrangement but was told I had to pay it all before they would continue my services. I've call them several time letting them know that these temporary ones are causing many heath issues. I need help now.
My mouth, and jaw line is in constant pain.
I asked if I could atheist get an antibiotic for the infected tooth that I was scheduled to get, but they never return my calls. What can I do about this, sue?
These big companies have powerful lawyers, but I will find someone with empathy as ND concern fir others to help me with this awful situation.
Very very disappointing
First they can never answer the phone, second I had a scheduled appointment that was scheduled a month before the appointment, I received several emails and text to confirm also I received a phone call from the office confirming the appointment, but the day of the appointment I received a text stating that I have to reschedule , the next appointment is two weeks later, when Im not available, I dont like the smile from these dentures when I mention this two the dentist he said I would have pay more for post to fit my dentures which I should have been told that from the beginning, I told let them settle I have done that I need an adjustment, and someone to work with me I put my teeth together looks like Im mad my smile I look retarded these are not what your commercial advertise , so please help thank you

April 2023 I had 3 appointments with Aspen resulting over 7,300.00 bill. I had and still have dental insurance.
Last appointment Thursday before Easter 2023. I returned to my home May 15 2033 and called Aspen local Apopka FL office to give them my Insurance information. The office states they would submit my claim. June 19 2023 I called the office 2nd time gave them my insurance info for the 2nd time and they said they would file claim.
June, July, Aug, Sept, October, November, and December I called both my insurance company and Aspen dental office asking for the claim to be processed. Aspen office stated each month I called that they submitted to insurance. Insurance company stated no claims have been received. I called corporate claim office (so they say) November 21 2023.
Corporate office stated oh how sorry they are and they submitted claim that day. lol lol lol. Guess what.wait for itwait for it.YOUR RIGHT no claim was submitted! I call Aspen office and Insurance office December 11 2023.
Just to have Aspen tell me yet again they will submit the claim. On top of that Aspen charged me for things I did not receive. The only reason I knew that was because of care credit after I put the account into dispute.
I had insurance at the time I received dental work. My fault I didnt have the insurance number with me while I was out of state for the winter.
Aspen assured me they would file and get all taken care of when I got back home. Meanwhile Im getting charged high interest from credit card since May 2023 and monthly payment of 187.00 a month costing me money. All because someone at Aspen Dental wont file a &$?& claim.
I would think twice even think 6 times before having anything done with Aspen. Regardless if you have insurance or not.
Doesnt appear Aspen files claim often AND as I found out will charge for things you really didnt receive! Dont do it!

I have severe anxiety and I get panicked easily in any doctor office especially dental, which I expressed to Carey the financing officer, and she had me go to her office after my initial appointment and she was pushing financing through them even though I stated that I would not need it, bc I had the money to cover it, she suggested strongly that I go ahead and apply for it JIC I didn't have the funding. Now I requested the day of my procedure that she not file the financing because I had the money due in full, she assured me that she didn't. Well I was waiting for the dentist and she said that she couldn't stop thinking about me since my initial appointment and then she outright refused to remove all my teeth since my bottom teeth were still in good shape minus a few cavities. Dr.
Gebru did an excellent job with the removal of my teeth, however after she finished I went looking for Carey to get payment made and a receipt. Carey was no where to be found. I asked Taylor at the front desk where she was and about payment and receipt. She said that it was fine and I was good to go.
So I then received a financial statement for the financing that wasn't supposed to be filed, and I was told that the dentist was in network and my insurance was great, so I was quoted around 3000 for upper dentures. That amount was paid, but then I received a bill in June stating that I owe another 3 grand.. I called relentlessly and I was constantly told that Carey was not available or not there, I contacted both my primary insurance and dental, primary insurance contacted Aspen and stated that they were told that I spoke with them on June 19th (which I NEVER did) and that we had resolved the issues, we most certainly did not. I cancelled any further appointments that had been made, and I contacted my dental insurance in regards to fraudulent charges for procedures that were supposed to be free like the initial exam x-rays etc, plus a dental cleaning that I have covered by my insurance 3× yearly, they billed me for all those things and they won't provide me with a break down of services rendered so my dental insurance can confirm that I received everything I was billed for.
I was lied to, the Dr. was "not in my network" despite me asking repeatedly. When I went for my cleaning they billed it as an oral exam done by a dentist that I never met nor received any treatment from. Subsequent calls by me had been made to contact Carey, but she was never available according to Taylor.
My dental insurance wants me to provide a itemized bill, but I never received one, only an estimate. Stay away from the retail dentistry known as Aspen Dental, go to a reputable dentist and get the proper treatment and billing.
I've already contacted my state's AG about the situation and I have been trying to get my itemized bill and x-rays to get the rest of my dental work done elsewhere, however they make excuse after excuse and even hang up on you, and lie to your insurance company. STAY FAR FAR away from Aspen Dental!!

Verified ReviewerHorrible company
My husband went to Aspen dental 2 years ago to get dentures. He paid 14 thousand dollars out of pocket.
The original dentures looked like they Came from the dollar store so he paid yet more money to upgrade them. The upgraded dentures did not fit properly so he went back a few times to get them fitted without success, so he has been going without them which has lead to permanent bone loss. He ended up making an apt to go in to add material to the dentures and they tried to charge him an additional 645 dollars. I have called the office every day since 11-9-23 and no one will return my call. So I tried to make an apt to go in and speak to the Dr.
and was told my husband was being dismissed from the practice for his behavior. My husband is the sweetest kindest man on the planet, but out of pure frustration of not having teeth in his mouth for two years he muttered some bad language under his breath and left the office. This happened Coincidentally After I called the corporate office and told them I was considering getting a lawyer. Now my husband has no teeth, no Dr, and permanent bone loss.
This company is an absolute joke.
They are over priced, unprofessional and unaccommodating. They have ruined my husbands life as he no longer wants to go out in public and they are getting away with it.

Fabricating attractive and functional dentures is an art as well as a science. It takes years to get really good at it.
Don't expect a young loser who works for a scummy chain clinic to do a good job.
Incidentally a good set of dentures will cost you $3800 to $5000. Making good dentures is time consuming and expensive.
