Aspen Dental - Crooks
My review of aspen dental in wooster.my insurance only covers them and I really can't afford to pay a dentist out of pocket. I had x-ray done then they took me to an exam room.they came in with this estimate to repair my teeth.my teeth really aren't in bad shape cuz I always tried to take care of them.i was so shocked it didn't occur to me until after I left they didn't even clean my teeth. I will be talking to my insurance company about it.aspen dental is some kind of scam in my opinion.

You must ALWAYS have an exam and x-rays as a new patient. A cleaning is a totally different thing, which is usually not done on the first appointment unless it is very easy or there is a cancellation after your appointment.

FELT LIKE i WAS DEALING WITH A CAR DEALERSHIP

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Went in for appointment, had exam and. Was told I needed 2 caps.

The cost would be about $2800. ok @ this

point. Then went back to have procedure done and this is when

everything went wrong had cleaning and told the fluoride would be done later after the cap was fitted. That never happened because the front desk now I was going to be responsible for $4300

And that didn't include the second cap I was told about in the first exam for another $1400.now I was going to owe $5700.

Sat there in the SALES chair in shock all numbed up could

hardly talk.

Then they wanted me to sign a contract to barrow the

money @ 24% interest. In addition, they charged me for the fluoride that was not done after speaking to them about that.

After well over an hour later and in extreme sticker shock the

cracked tooth was extracted, and I was given a appointment to come back for everything else needed to be done. The next day

I realized that I kinda felt railroaded through there Billing system

was a stressful experience with not time to think, did they

crack my tooth? Were they just to busy to really take care of me

There were people everywhere in and out of chairs all just waiting to be next, hard to explain but not professional!

So the next day I decided to tell them that I wanted to cancel everything and of course at this point was missing a cranked tooth???

Took me two weeks to get refunded and now that is short by $93. and I need to deal with that.

They are a real MONEY HUNGRY GROUP its hard to believe that they are dentist, Bad experience , don't go there they much to busy and cant offer a good experience at all. 1 to 10 there a 3!

You would do better prying particles from a Black Hole in deep space than prying a dollar of yours out of Aspen's corporate bank account. Chalk it up to experience.

These are industrial-strength scammers.

Always a bad idea to patronize corporate dental chains owned by Wall Street sharks. A$pen is the worst, as you found out.

Snatching denture plus keeping part of refund

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I sent a complaint in about 6 months ago and I have been informed that there have been many more complaints about these same two companies. The day my daughter went in for the 6th or 7th time she finally asked for a refund because her dentures still were not fitting properly. The assistant had taken her dentures and laid them on the counter. So the dentist came back in and grabbed her denture and told her she can go without teeth. Never received full refund for denture so she has no bottom teeth. She is disabled , has chronic pancreatitis so it's imperative that she be able to chew her food properly. Need legal help against these crooked people. Run from these people. They're crooked and heartless. het her snatched

Still waiting for my crowns

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Given temporary crowns until permanent ones were to be placed, upon arriving for permanent crowns did not match the color of my teeth was told new ones would be reordered well after waiting for 3 weeks due to practice stating crowns were never delivered so supposed to put a trace on crowns and would call when delivered no call so call the practice and crowns were at the practice so have to wait another 2 weeks to be seen well those crowns were the same color as the first so once again had to reorder given another appointment in 2 weeks so show up for this appointment only to be told I was not scheduled when I was given an appointment card with the date on the card. The Supervisor comes out and tells me no crowns were delivered which makes me think the crowns were never reordered, so I am told she would once again put a trace in to find out what happened to the crowns and would call me still waiting for that call so-called today and goes to voice mail no return call yet. Happily take your money put do not deliver!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well after calling and speaking to the supervisor I informed her I would be calling their corporate office to complain the crowns were mysteriously found. Have appointment tomorrow so if color is not matching I will demand a refund. Will deliver the temporary crowns back to them after I see another dentist.

Guest

It takes a while for crowns to be shipped from third-class labs in Communist China. A normal dentist would have a lab tech out to perfectly match tooth shade.

No decent lab techs will work for this viper's nest. ADVICE- Get a refund and go to the nearest independent dentist you can find.

Not satisfied with Dentures

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

On July 30, 2019, I paid 3193.60 for a set of Dentures that didn't fit. I told the Dr.

at the time of service that I had to be finished with getting the teeth fixed as I was going out of state and would be gone until sometime in 2020. The Dentures did not get fitted properly by the time I had to go, so I put them in the container and left them until I got back. When I returned home, I made an appointment to continue to work on them. A few adjustments were made, and I was told that I had to wear them but I could not without sore spots and biting my cheeks.

I couldn't eat with them at all. I had to put my old ones in to eat and then put the new ones back in to try and get use to them. All this time I have paid for the dentures while they sit in the container. I went back in after I got back from another trip and the Dr.

acted like he didn't recall me or our conversation about my travel.

I would like them fixed, redone or my money back. Not only that, but I was told that they would work with me to get them right but I'm afraid that won't happen.

Pushing over priced products

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Aspen Dental is very unethical and over priced. I went in for a routine cleaning and I was encouraged to select deep cleaning and scaling. A procedure the cost me 1025.00. And the receptionist would not make eye contact with me. My gums are very healthy but the hygienist assured me the I had exposed bone which scared me. The cleaning I received was a regular cleaning nothing special. My consolation gifts were a small bottle of mouthwash, a cheap toothbrush, a tube of toothpaste and a miracle rinse. They also offered me a procedure to detect mouth cancer. She swabbed my inner cheek with a small wand. That cost me an extra 30.00. They also offer a credit card to pay for their overpriced scam.

It is hard for people to look you in the eye when they are lying to you. Ever noticed that?

Aspen's most frequent scam is to upcode regular cleanings to deep scaling and root planing. How they justify it by gum pocket depth I would like to know. Maybe they falsify probing depths.

These crooks are industrial-strength scammers. Patient think after watching TV ads that they will save a lot of money, but they never do.

POORLY TREATED!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I complained about having to wait in the lobby for over an hour a couple of times, it just got to the point that they would make me wait over an hour or more at every appointment and on Thursdays I would be the last one leaving. I started calling before my appointment time to ask if they were on schedule and the front desk would advise me that they were, that I should not have to wait very long. Turns out they would still make me wait. Then the dentist would give me a shot in my mouth without using any numbing cream I guess she was taking her frustration out on me for the day. Then I had a crown put on my front tooth which was longer than my other one so when I complained about that it was another issue.I had a partial for bottom teeth and one for the top for back teeth top never fit right, so I stopped wearing it and the bottom one was a good fit but then one tooth on the back part broke not even a year old yet but had been made twice due to not right the first time! On top of all of that she drilled places on my teeth to make them fit now they are very sensitive to everything. I financed a loan through dental financing and paid it off had a credit of $250 but when covid-19 shut everything down I started getting bills from this office, I then called the 800 number ended up having to call Midland Tx. no one could tell me anything. After the office opened back up I called and spoke to Mandy who then explained the charges pending insurance payment, My last bill received stated that I owed $800 called insurance company they advised they were sending out a check for $2000 that day. So available credit gone money gone! Where did it all go? Plus poor customer service. Every appointed made after they re-opened were always cancelled per recorded telephone by aspen. No worries I refuse to go back there. I would rather pay full price or whatever it is going to cost me to get my partial repaired than to deal with that office again! I usually do not write reviews good or bad but felt this needed to be said. They need better staffing!!

It is all a delay tactic to keep your money as long as they can. It is amazing when a patient actually manages to get a refund. Getting money back from these shysters is harder than getting particles back from a Black Hole in deep space.
