Verified ReviewerAlways have a reason to squeeze more money out of a person and has shady pricing.
I had upper and lower dentures made while living in Florida. Before completing the adjustments I had to move to Missouri.
Due to other unrelated medical issues ( covid and surgery) the warranty expired before I could get the additional adjustments made. I first went to the Festus location where I was told that the dentures were made incorrectly and that I would be charges approximately $400 to fix them. I then tried the Arnold location where I was again told that the upper denture was made wrong and that the reason I was having a problem with them was because I have a "dry mouth". I would certainly know whether or not I have a dry mouth.
The Arnold office wanted $808 to fix a problem that an Aspen office created. I understand that each office is individually owned but Aspen Dental is Aspen Dental regardless of where you are. After visiting these 2 local locations, where they both agreed the dentures were made wrong, it seems to me that their pricing is random, and that they test your financial limits. Why would it cost $400 to fix them at one location and $800 just a few miles away?
At this point I have over $1600 worth of dentures that were made incorrectly, will not stay in my mouth and are impossible to eat with. If there were an option to give a worse rating I surely would and will advise anyone I speak with to avoid the Aspen nightmare.
Addendum... a week and a half after posting this review I have heard nothing from Aspen other than a phone call from the Dr./owner asking me to remove my review as she was afraid it would hurt the business.
I have news for you doc, the review will remain posted and it's not the patients who may ruin your business. You need to look in the mirror to see the one responsible if that happens.
- No pros they just rip you off a ton of money
- Random or inconsistent pricing inferior product

My husband has a serious infection...sent home with NO ANTIBIOTICS

Second Page @ 2:13 am
Third Page @ 3:02 am
Fourth and Final Page call center tried the Doctor on call directly @ 4:00 am Saturday, November 1st and there was no answer.
She then informed me that theres was no longer anything she could do for me my optio...
Needless to say when he woke up Friday October 31, 2014 for work his entire left side of his face all the way down his jawline and into his neck is swollen 3 times as it was when he laid down for bed.
I called Aspen at 1:00 pm Friday the 31st and seriously had to plead with the dentist to please fax some type of antibiotic to our pharmacy. I explained to him that my husband's face and neck was severely swollen and the pain he is having is beyond that of your typical extraction.
He insisted that this swelling is normal and that he didn't need antibiotics because the tooth was gone. After a few more minutes of explaining his symptoms they finally agreed to fax the prescription for him. I gave them the name of the pharmacy as well as the phone number. Thanked them and hung up.
Well several hours later, I called my pharmacy to find that they never sent anything for my husband...
Who as of right now cannot move his neck and has a temperature and feels weak and faint...
I am so angry and I would like some advice as to what I should do from here...I called the emergency line 4 times and was hung up on at least one time on purpose, put on hold and the call was disconnected once. And am currently waiting for a call back from a Doctor supposedly within a 20 min time frame, I'm not going to hold my breath though.

Horrible experience & still fighting with them
From start to me quitting has been horrible experience. Ontop of being charged for something advertised as a free first visit. A dentist comes in to pull your teeth with his equipment placed on the floor. Not one softline ever worked because the temporary dentures where wrong from the start. The teeth were tiny and the center line and bite where off. My bottom temporary partial broke within 4 months, then my top dropped out during a lunch meeting, need fixadent always which is making me sick. Every time I went there (Aspen) I come home with sores on the outside of my mouth. Examples are below of ill fitting teeth, off center teeth, and dirty trays.
I went to the dentist Nov 13 ($235 dollars) and and was told 2 other teeth should have been pulled, I have a extra bone in the roof of my mouth that should have been removed shaved down for a better plate fit and apologized for my temporary teeth because the temp dentures should have never looked the way they did and the assistant and dentist gave a look of disgust to each other when they were looking at my dentures. I was told I need an additional 2 teeth pulled and a whole new brand new temp bottom partial plate with a flapper because of missing teeth changes everything, then wait another 6 months to get my permanent partial bottom. Another 7400 to go behind a dentist that was already paid 13k. They missed some things, didn't explain everything or go into detail of what all needed done and did a correct job and correctly billed, and the last 6 months telling them these dentures weren't right. At this point in time I'm not sure anything I do will fix the situation. Let alone worried about what there next procedure will improve and then pay another 900 in January billing my insurance again. NO MORE INCOMPETENCE. The worst experience I have ever had. There is so much you can fit in a email otherwise you would have a book about every detail.
I am asking for a refund of 4390.81 for 1st because they screwed my insurance for the next 5 years and I can not get any denture work because of aspen. 2nd I am having to come out of pocket for something that wasn't done properly the the first time. 3rd all the work hours and vacation time I used needs to be compensated. I have cried leaving your office more then once and had words with the smart *** accounting clerk which got nowhere past her *** or ears if she knows the difference.
Also the new permanent top denture has been in its box since the night I got them of Dec 7th. I have much more. Please contact me.

Verified Reviewer | Pascagoula, MississippiWorst Experience Imaginable
The worst experience imaginable. Ive had several friends and family warn me about Aspen Dental, 4001 Denny Avenue, Pascagoula, MS, but nothing could have prepared me for the series of lies and corruption from the administrative staff to the dentist himself.
I checked in early with two admin assistants who were immediately cold, unprofessional, aggressive, aloof, and snide.
I completed the paperwork, and provided two forms of very good insurance, despite the lies of one admin assistant who ineptly (and unethically) played lawyer and falsely advised me on what the law required. I almost left immediately as I sensed a scam, and in hindsight should have left right away.
Over the next 2 hours and 20 minutes (0950 to 1220), I was moved among four rooms, received in depth X-rays from a very sweet and professional dental assistant, but also received false and contradictory information from dental nurse and dentist. I was told several times that I was being assessed for the type of cleaning that would be best, and that I would be able to choose once all of the prep work was completed. After two hours of being moved around, I was treated to alternating sweet and aggressive staff, getting false and contradictory information on my insurance and the type of cleaning and the next steps and the condition of my teeth and the purpose of the equipment (etc) from several staff.
Finally I got the hard up-sell scam from a third admin assistant and from the dentist himself. I was told that I had to choose the most expensive treatment, and that none of my insurance would cover anything.
As I left to the lobby, on my departure, the most aggressive admin assistant loudly stated that the gingivitis deep cleaning was the only treatment that was legal to provide. Again, unprofessional at best and malpractice at worst. This was the final step of the scam.
The whole staff lied, bullied, and attempted to scare me into the most expensive treatment that coincidentally wasnt covered by my insurance. The dentist even came to the lobby and aggressively confronted me, saying that the admin assistant never said that. A complete lie.
After 30 years of testifying in federal court, I know false legal advice and unethical behavior when I hear it. The more the dentist insisted, you didnt hear that, the more the scam became obvious.
The whole office was scared at being called out for the unprofessionalism, the lies, and the bullying. When the dentist realized that I knew what I heard, and knew it was a scam, he meekly said, well three employees thought you were rude. Im sure they did. Its hard to confront a liar and a bully without doing so clearly and directly.
Im sure they felt I was rude of me not to go along with the scam.
I escaped this scam, after wasting almost two and a half hours, and immediately went to another dentist (Bienville Dental Group). They were wonderful, professional, and honest. No scam, no lies, no bullying, no alternating sweet and aggressive treatment (common among scams). They were able to verify my MetLife dental insurance in less than 30 seconds (Aspen couldnt verify it with more than 30 minutes effort).
After some brief X-rays, I received the thorough and professional cleaning and checkup I had hoped to receive from the first.
What an ugly experience of lies and corruption at Aspen Dental. I can only be thankful that this scam, and the very rude and unprofessional dentist and staff didnt trap me in their lies.
I have discussed this experience with several friends (more than 10) who are also dentists and dental hygienists working in Louisiana and California, and every one of them were shocked and apologetic, but not surprised.
They have each heard of such experiences with Aspen Dental before. Additionally, I have reported this incident to the Dental Advisory Board, the Better Business Bureau, and have left reviews on several platforms.
Shame on Aspen Dental for bullying clients, especially the older clients, into paying exorbitant prices and lying to the patients theyre supposed to help.

Verified Reviewer | Mount Pleasant, WisconsinAfter more than $6k (my own and insurance), I STILL don’t have a pair of functional dentures.
I was told I could get a partial refund since they cant give me a pair of fitting, functional dentures unless I pay another $8,000 out-of-pocket. BUT after more than five requests for a simple patient statement, all Ive received is a ledger of procedures and the cost of each procedure.
Nothing about how much insurance paid or my over $2300 was applied to each procedure. How can I know whats a fair refund without this information. And, why is it so difficult to give me a patient statement?!?!
Oh, the ledger shows a charge for a wax try-in I never received.
Did I mention my denture was accidentally broken by the assistant?
It was an accident.
I asked for a soft reline since they cant make me fitting dentures and the soft reline was taken off my temps. I was told they would absolutely do a soft reline for an out-of-pocket $600 - $800.

Verified Reviewer | Vero Beach, FloridaASPEN DENTAL VERO BEACH stole our $, lied about treatment plan, and refuses to produce dentures we've PAID IN FULL for
CONSUMER BEWARE. As of this posting, along with reporting Aspen Dental Vero Beach to FL Dept of Agriculture and Consumer Affairs they have done absolutely nothing to remedy their wrongdoing and make our family whole again. On the contrary, we received a passive...
It is now fifteen months since our initial encounter with Aspen Dental of Vero Beach FL. My disabled spouse, having been denied the completion of his treatment plan is still forced to use this (broken in half) temporary partial that requires constant gluing at home in order to speak, chew, or swallow.
(SEE EXHIBIT A).
At the onset of our relationship with this provider, in November 2022 my husband (a.k.a. Mr. O) met twice with Dr. F.
Cumplido when seeking to save as many of his own teeth as possible using both dentures and implants only to have Dr. Cumplito leave the location altogether the week of scheduled surgery. A new dentist was assigned but her treatment plan included the removal of all of his teeth instead, resulting in full dentures. This change warranted several meetings with both the new dentist as well of Office Manager James Russell.
One of the selling points of this alternate plan was that it was would be far less expensive and that the entire balance could be placed on a Care Credit account. On November 8, 2021 we recapped the final cost with Manager James ($6499 less our $1000 deposit to equal $5499 balance, all told) of which we reconfirmed several times would be the absolute final price. I expressed to James that we had read many recent bait and switch reviews online from Aspen. His reply, several times was Relax, this is the bottom line, your grand total from start to finish.
He highlighted the attached invoice (SEE EXHIBIT B) balance in yellow marker. Mr. O had his entire set of teeth extracted, waited out the six months required (to
allow mouth to heal before denture fitting) and was given a flimsy temporary partial to use in the meantime. During this waiting period he was hospitalized on three occasions, developed heightened cardiac and GI complications and lost 40 pounds.
He was forced to abruptly leave the workforce in February 2022 as he is now permanently disabled, still fighting to regain strength and weight at the time of this letter. Upon our first visit back to Aspen Dental Vero Beach the entire office staff, including James had been replaced by a new office staff and Mr. Os visit to fit his long awaited permanent dentures was denied due to a mistake that previous office manager (James) allegedly made in our account billing. We returned on two additional occasions in August 2022 at the suggestion of new office manager Diana (allowing time for them to work it out).
We were handed an additional invoice (see EXHIBIT C) in the amount of $1617.75 with the explanation that James has left us with terrible mistakes here, including this one. Every day I cry over customers that scream at me about problems James made. I understand your frustration but unless you pay this, you cant have the dentures made. An argument ensued and Mr.
Os cardiac arrhythmias flared up, bringing him back into the ER along with multiple stress induced Cardiology visits thereafter. We wrote letters to Aspens Corporate office (see
attached) and over a month later the REGIONAL Manager (replacing former female) called on Oct 30, 2022, offering to cut the (erroneous) bill in half and ultimately hung up the phone on us. No further calls or emails have been answered, and we are (unequivocally) unwelcome at the local Aspen Dental office. Meanwhile, Mr.
O cannot chew solid food, smile or relax due to the painful, broken partial that he is being strong-armed into settling for, now broken in half requiring DIY repairs with glue, during a time that is imperative he consumes a greater daily calorie intake. The mere mention of this practice now brings immediate, unnecessary anxiety and heart palpitations at a time when my husband has barely escaped death and desperately needs peace and proper nutrition - BY CHEWING!!!
We are appealing to you to take record of this egregious conduct by Aspen Dental of Vero Beach (R Dustin Dixon DMD Holdings, PLLC) for breaching duty of care,
breaching contract and bait and switch tactics still used on us today, even
after their recent class action lawsuit ruling for same. Mr. O*** needs and
deserves to be using the dentures that he has paid for over a year ago, without
further delay.
Aspen Dental continues to deprive Mr. O of the full set of dentures that we have paid for, in full, since Nov of 2022. This patients' health remains severely compromised as a direct result of Aspen Dental of Vero Beach's gross negligence/bad acts. ****AVOID THIS PRACTICE AT ALL COSTS****This practice has a PLETHORA of unhappy, discontent and poorly treated patients that post numerous, regular complaints throughout our community's social media, local news and consumer advocacy forums.
Aspen Dental of Vero Beach runs local TV commercials making promises that, at this location, are the antithesis of such claims.
They are indeed CROOKS that will undoubtedly soon be faced w/ serious sanctions. Stay clear!!!

This is the 3rd or 4th time I have complained about the denture that I had made at the Bristol TN office. I have gone back 4 times and tried to get them to remake the denture but I only get a reline which is NOT HELPING, because that is not going to fix the problem that I am having.
It is way too big for my mouth, it is so big that I can't talk, eat, drink, swallow, anything else! I am constantly biting the insides of my cheeks every day. I was told that the only thing that they could do was they would make me a new denture ONLY IF I PAID TO UPGRADE TO THE BETTER DENTURE! I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY TO GET A DENTURE THAT FITS ME!

Hi-
I was a first time customer at Aspen Dental Tyrone on Feb 28th 2024. I had a 4:15 appointment that was labeled as emergency.
I arrived early at 3:30. I was advised to come early because they always run late by the receptionist. I wasnt seen until 4:45.
While waiting for my hygiene, cleaning and doctor visit- there was an emergency in the room next door and all personal was running around frantic. I was screamed at to GET OUT NOW and we will call you to reschedule.
This was highly upsetting- nothing was accomplished. Im extremely concerned about the professionalism at St. Pete Tyrone.
It was a chaotic mess. Please call me to confirm you received this message so we can discuss the situation at hand.

Verified Reviewer | Thomaston, MaineTHEY WERE TRYING TO BULLY AND CHEAT ME
Today I had the most horrible experience at Aspen Dental. When I entered their office everyone was so nice.
They just set me up for the kill. The dental assistant told me - You are so tall dark and handsome. She said let me take some pictures of your mouth.I said - Why? She said most likely they would give you implants I told her that I don't know if my insurance covers implants. She said that some guy would check into that.
When she finished she took me to see this guy. He said Well Care did not cover Implants. I said - let's go ahead and do the dentures. He said that the dentures would cost $2500 therefore I would have to pay out of my pocket too and I would have to pay them $300 for the pictures they took of my mouth.
I told him that I would not pay him anything.i said let me talk to my Insurance. He did not want me to leave. So I said to him - What's the matter with you? and I went to my car to call my Insurance.
The guy at the Insurance told me.I did not have to pay the dentist anything. The insurance covered every. I asked him If he could speak to the guy in the office.. The girl this time was very rude.
Her whole facial expression was one of nastiness. She raised her voice at me. I said why are you rude? She said you are rude and sit down.
The guy who was trying to bully me into giving him money appeared at the door. I asked can I see you now ? He said yes. As I entered the office I asked him if he could speak to the guy from the insurance.
In a nasty tone he said no. I said the insurance guy he does not want to speak to you. He then took my phone and spoke to the insurance guy. The insurance person told him that they covered the dentures and I would not have to pay them anything.
He said that I must pay him the money for the x-rays . I said I would not pay him anything. He got very angry and said to me get out from here. I don't want to see you back in this office.
As I was leaving he was just behind me stepping on my my boots saying Get out of here. I said - Don't step on my shoes.
These people tried to cheat me today.
Since they could not do that they got angry . This guy in the office disrespected me He has played with my dignity I am 75 years old..

Verified Reviewer | Mount Airy, North CarolinaUnprofessional dental care as well as terrible customer service
I went in to get the so called free consultation and exam and also a price for the cost on the price of getting a filling replaced. By the time.
I left, they had me convinced I had something wrong with my lower 8 front teeth underneath my gum. I had 3 choices for treatment. I knew me dental insurance would only pay for $3,000 per year for dental coverage. I had partials in the lower back that's why I only had the 8 teeth.
The first choice was dental inplant or secured denture. The price was around $15,000. I knew that would impossible because I had a had time pulling together the money I had to pay out of pocket. After 21 days of not being able to eat, getting anyone to answer the phone or ever returning my voice mail.
I went to a dentist in private practice and showed him the xrays. I asked if he could see any problems. Since at that time I had no teeth left, all he could say was there was a small cavity that would have needed attention. It was just above the gum line.
I am fuming at this point. The $198 that I paid the dentist was well worth it just to know that I have what I need if I can find a lawyer to help.

Despite the advertising laws, each office IS NOT independently owned. The money always flows to the same corporate bank account.
The problem is the young dentists work on a tiny commission. No one wants to fix a problem with a denture someone else did. The commission is tiny to non-existant.
In fact, once they get your money, the original dentist doesn't want to solve any problem, as there is little to no commission in it. You made a big mistake going to a fleabag corporate dental clinic instead of an honest independent dentist.
Unfortunately, I am finding out about Aspen and their business practices too late.
I am as well
