X ray machine broke and dentist too busy

Drove 30 miles to appointment with Aspen in Hermitage Pa. X-ray machine broken!! Dentist too busy to do the scheduled exam. With insurance cost was $58 for cleaning. Was told that I could come back to see the dentist for the exam when he was available, to call and schedule another appointment. The last time I went the dentist, 6 months ago for my scheduled exam he wasn't even there for my scheduled appointment. My husband spent over $3200 for extractions and dentures and the top plate broke the first week and all they did was glue it back together. Now he uses it broken. Done with Aspen period.

I can't type all that is wrong with Aspen Dental but do know they cannot make proper dentures (my c.p. is acting up so will have to make this short) They have lab techs that I think came in off the street with no training!

Aspen Dental

After 13 visits and 1500. my new dentures do not fit properly. I saw 3 different dentists during that time. An *** could see that the *** was completely off ( and still is) There was a guy name Jose in the back room that kept twisting and molding my upper plate to try to fit it-you should see how the upper plate is bent around. I am still wearing my old dentures I received 15 yrs ago that I have never ever had a problem with and had done by a private dentist. I will go to a private dentist from now on instead of a dental warehouse.

Problem , I now live in Wa. state. I was told before I moved that I could gettttt them fixed here. Problem, closest Aspen off ice is 270 miles away. Their Service rep. won't do amything and I can't get to anyone higher. DON'T GO TO ASPEN!!!! I will never go back there, nor will I EVER reccommend them After paying over 4

I was told that if I couldn't find an aspen dental office close to where I lived I could go to another dentist and they would help with the expenses. After I moved I was told I had to go to an aspen office.

#407341

So what would you like the service rep to do -- move the office closer to where you live?

Aspen dentals unprofessional services

I went to Aspen with the intentions of getting a lower partial denture. I was told they couldn't just do a lower denture they would also have to do an upper as well. I really didn't want both but I agreed and I can't begin to tell you how unhappy I was with the whole process. I lost count of how many times I went back for adjustments and no matter what they did I couldn't wear them. I've had upper and lower dentures that fit perfectly with just a few adjustments. The poor quality of material they use was so ruff I had constant sores on my tongue if was so painful I couldn't even eat with them in.I tried for several months to wear them figuring I would get use to them; but that never happened.I was unable to wear them and went back to my old partial dentures. They charged me 2,800.00 for these inferior dentures. And also the teeth fell out of them in a about 2 years. No matter how many times I told them how unhappy I was They wouldn't do anything to correct the problem. The Dentist and staff were very rude and I have never and would never recommend their services to anyone.

Aspen Dental,Portsmoth N.H. WARNING!!! Save your $$$

I hadnt been to a dentist in nearly 20yrs. I knew I needed some work. I was having severe pain in one of my back molars so I called Aspen Dental to get an appt. They took my right in. They did x-rays and the "dentist" checked my xrays and teeth for what I needed done. They told me I needed $3600 in work. Since I hadnt been to the dentist in so long I figured I was in need of this work and set up an appt. to have the tooth that was hurting pulled. I had it pulled without any problem. A year later I went back to have another pulled. That went well also. This past year I came in to some $$$ from my Mother passing away and decided to get my teeth worked on. Since I dont drive I decided to try and find a dentist close to me, with in walking distance. I made an appt and got a cleaning and assestment. The dentist told me I needed 3 cavities filled. All in all it turned out to cost me $642 in work. Instead of $3600 in work as what Aspen dental told me. I actually said to the new dentist that I was baffled and that the place I had my tooth pulled told me I needed $3600 worth of work. No word of a lie, the dentist said "you must've gone to Aspen Dental." That right there says it all. Glad I saved my inheritance $$ and got a 2nd opinion.

It would be nice if they acted professional in the office front and back.

New Spartanburg location: There is a lot of giggling and talking about the patients. They walk around with arms folded and sometimes yell out patient info.Oh lord if you are in there after five forget it....professionalism out the door.I too recieved service and my mouth hurts.I have to go back and I am not sure I want them to fix it.Although they advertise certain services please check to make sure THEY do them and you are not recommended by them to another dentist. I was reminded by my coworkers when I discuss the event with them that "you get what you pay for".Do not let the fancy dentist office fool you.The work speaks for itself.

I tried Aspen in Pennsylvania and they are the worse. Very unprofessional and feel like they are doing you a favor by taking you as a patient.

I did a routine check up and never went back there.

I prefer a private dentist than a franchise like them. :-/

Aspen Dental - upsell, upsell, upsell - all for bad service

As a former employee they even tried to upsell me. I Was told i needed three root canals when only a replacement filling was needed in one tooth. The filling hy did replace - fell out shortly after. If you must go to aspen dental - get a second opinion. Upsell is the name of the game at aspen dental and the exec staff is more interested in having a flashy looking office then they are in hiring qualified dentists. Avoid them at all costs if possible and as stated get a second opinion for whatever they try to sell you on.

Aspen Dental Not Worth It - Scam

I saw an ad on TV for Aspen Dental. The main reason we chose to switch was because they advertised Invisalign with free financing options and my husband was interested. I called the local number, which goes to some call center, to set up an appts for us. All dentist appts, my ENTIRE life, have consisted of: x-rays (if needed), cleaning, and dental exam. First, their x-ray equipment is AWFUL - not up to date. They use these huge gadgets in your mouth that were literally cutting into my gums and hurt. 20 mins to do many x-rays that should have been done in 5 mins anywhere else. Then, the hygenist uses some needle-like tool to check for disease by seeing how deep it is between my gums and teeth. Uncomfortable but didn't hurt...but was completely unnecessary. The dentist does a quick exam, everything looks good. The hygenist then trys to sell me on doing some rinse that shows if I have cancer in my mouth. Not covered under insurance...no thanks. She then says the office manager will be meeting with me shortly to cover any of today's expenses and a payment plan. What? I have insurance, which covers routine exams and cleanings every 6 months. She says that everything today should be covered then, and if not they'll just bill me for the rest. Whatever. I asked when she was going to clean my teeth...she then asks if I set up a cleaning appt. No, I thought when I called to set up today's appt it included everything a NORMAL dentist appt should?! Not so, & now I need to set up a 2nd appt for cleaning. Thanks call center people, you didn't tell me this. Same things with my husband...only with him the dentist says he doesn't like how several of his fillings have been done in the past & wants to redo them. No thanks...they aren't causing any issues and I highly doubt they actually need to be redone. Then they try to charge my husband $22 copay for the exam. He has insurance that covers it, no copay! Ok, they'll send a bill if for whatever reason insurance doesn't pay it all. One week later, we get a bill in the mail for $36. (From $22 to $36 now?) Once we read the fine print, it's actually an estimate of what they think insurance won't pay. Why send a bill with a due date until after insurance has been processed?? After reading other complaints, I imagine they hope people just pay it without reading and then never see that money again after their insurance pays it. We'll see what happens with that. Last thing - Invisalign? Which I told the guy we were interested in when I set up our appointments? Oh, the dentist told my husband that that location doesn't do them. Again, after reading other's complaints, I am now glad they don't so we didn't get suckered into some crazy amount of money...but seriously, if that's the main reason we are making the appointment, you should let us know that the location doesn't offer it. Save your time, money, and sanity - choose a legit dentist office.

I always make it a point to check if every sevierville dentistry service are legal and trusted. Usually, every medical procedures that I am taking needs to be with a hospital or clinic that are referred by my family or friends.

#506004

These clinics impress me as nothing more than a ruse to lead the lambs to slaughter, much like the "professional medical providers" who enroll in prepaid dental plans. They prey on an unsophisticated patients.

#410922

Terrible dentistry - they seemed most ingterested in selling thier services -

could care less about thier patients.

Aspen is nothing more than discount desnistry

at its worst.

#406346

I had exactly the same experience yesterday. And they did not want to clean my teeth even though I booked the appointment for that purpose.....Including the request for a second visit for phase two of teeth cleaning. What is that?????? I left there ripping mad...The manager was very rude!!!!....How do we get these scam artists to shut down??

Aspen dental in albany oregon

eight months ago went to have a painful tooth looked at. I have bone loss and knew that and knew i needed dentures and that was their opinion as well. I went in to have both upper and lower pulled and during the process it felt as though the dentist was breaking the bone as well as the teeth as he was pulling them. I had a bad reaction to that which i have never had at a dentist before and nearly passed out. my heart rate was through the roof. next step was the "healing" denture. way to big improper *** and went in several times for adjustments which never were right. Finally after their six month waiting period I went in for the wax try ins. All of them have been wrong. After the third try in i WAS SO FRUSTRATED I said just make the *** teeth and then I'll ask for my money back if they aren't right because for the hundredth time they said the permanent dentures wouldn't be like that that they would fit. They brought in a paper to sign and before I signed I asked if that would prohibit me from gettting my money back. They said it would not. Well they lied. It does. They won't give me my money back. They won't redo the teeth and I am stuck with slightly buck teeth (they are placed too far forward) a *** that is still not quite right and my teeth pop loose when I *** down on food. I'm not just pissed I am seeing red. It is a complaint to the Better Business Bureau from me a possible law suit and a complaint to the CEO of the company.

Oh yes you only signed that you loved the color of your teeth,,I have panic attacks and always take zanax or ativan before an appt so i am not on top of everything going on around me ...I fear now that i signed a paper that will screw me out of getting these fixed. she shoves a clipboard with the page curled back and asked me to sign on the line.

Aspen dental albany oregon disaster

Went to aspen dental in albany eight months ago. Needed all teeth pulled. Which turned out a horrible experience i almost passed out which has never happened so i was uncomfortable witht the dentist who barely spoke english as i had never had that reaction to dental work before. Also a he was pulling my teeth i felt pain so he was not using enough numbing agent and it felt like he was breaking the bone aswell as the teeth. Then i had to go back five times or so to adjust the" healing" denture which was way too big and was never adjusted right. Then after six months i am now going back repeatedly for wax try ins whch. Again are never right so i said the could either get it right or i was going to want my money back they decided to" offer" me my money back and" i could walk" or do the teeth because the" permanent denture wouldn,t be like that" so i said fine make the *** denture. They brought a paper for me to sign saying i was fine with the color etc. I asked if that would keep me from getting a refund if i was unhappy with the denture they said it would not. They lied because i'm not happy and they have informed me i get no refund and they won't remake the teeth. I now have slightly buck teeth a bad fit and teeth that pop loose when i *** down on food.

I am Not Happy

After all of the adjustment appointments, my Fri 1230**** visit was a disgrace to the dental field. There are not enough words to describe what happened to me. After a 3.5 hour office visit, my dentures are worse off than they were before I went into the office. My mouth is so very sore due to poor workmanship. I came home with a headache and made another appointment for Mon 010212. This will be 'fixed'. I don't threaten noone...I just followup and make their life as miserable as they have made mine. It is Sunday 0101**** and my head still hurts and my mouth is even worse hurting. I have pictures taken just in case they are needed. I would not recommend Aspen to anyone. My mouth is absolutely in pain.

Aspen Dental in Oregon

In November I went to aspen dental for the first time. The Dentist there checked my teeth, all in about 20 minutes and told me they all needed to come out, except for my canine teeth which would hold my partial plates. I wasn't quite ready to have all my teeth pulled so I asked if they could put in a flipper to fill a whole in the front of my mouth where they had just pulled a tooth. They said they could and it would cost me over 600.00 and that I had to pay up front for the work. I did. (*** me). My next dentist appointment was at the same Aspen Dental and a totally different Dentist who told me she would not do the flipper because , and I quote "I would look ***." I said ok so now what. She wanted to pulled ALL of my teeth out and give me dentures and scheduled me for an appointment to get a dental cast. When I went in to the same Aspen Dental it was another dentist who had no idea what the other two dentists were doing so they wanted me to come back and let them take a look at my teeth, also telling me that the dental cast they had done was wrong. I scheduled the next appointment and was called the day of my appoinment to let me know they were cancelling on me and rescheduled me for 2 days hence. I went in for my appointment and was told, after waiting 45 minutes in the office that they could not see me and the last dentist I had seen was no longer there so the new one would want to check my teeth for me. All this time they had not refunded the money I paid for the flipper. When I complained they did an online refund for me that still has not shown up on my account. I can't find the number for the main Aspen Dental and the office here won't give it to me. Is there anyone out there who can help?

Sick of the Politics in Medical Treatment

I have a broken, abcess tooth called my local Aspen Dental, Florence,SC. to see if they took walk-in emergencies. YES we do but...OMGoodness, I was given every opportunity in 30sec. but to walk in. I was told that if I walked in without a appt. I take the chance of not being seen at all~ Then after listening to someone that sounded like she was reading from a skit sheet, I was asked to hold while she talked to the dentist. After about 3-4 min. she comes back and tells me that they can see me in FEBRUARY 2012 but she is sorry I am in so much pain! (But I was just told that they take walk-ins and emergency patients) Seriously, If there is one thing in this world that stands true next to GOD's word...WE CAN'T FIX ***! Aspe Dental, You just lost out on a potentially great customer $$$ as I not only need other dental work done my husband is planning on dentures the first part of the year (hey, wait a minute-He can get in during the month of February-lol) and I am sure that would have cost him a little $$$ regardless of who and when he is seen! Happy New Year Aspen Dental, I will be sure to spread the word in Florence, SC.

Referencing posting on 12/29/11...Sick of the Politics in Medical Treatment.

With Great fear of rejection or herd me in and yank it out treatment, I became a walk-in at Sexton Dental Clinic, 377 W. Palmetto St.

Florence, SC. 29501 (8**-**2-2543/800-827-****) at approx. 3:00pm. The place was full of people-My first contact person was the front desk lady.

A little skit type welcome but all in all she was very pleasant and rec'd my request immediately. I was called to the sign in window witin 15 min. of filling out my paperwork and it was 15 min. from there that I was in a chair getting both a broken tooth and a wisdom tooth that was compressing pulled.

DR. SCOTT was wonderful-(I hate needles in my mouth and tend to hate anyone holding them near me) Some say luck of the draw, I say not...I did not even feel the first two sticks. I did feel the three on the top of my mouth but hey, that is expected. He was very compassionate and reassured me that I was doing well.

Within a half hour from then for way less than what I was quoted by Aspen Dental(getting my meds filled in their pharmacy included) I was walking out the door with the excruciating pain that I had gone in there with gone!!! If I had been made to wait the Holiday weekend to get relief I don't know what I would have done. Thank You Dr.

Scott and Sexton Dental...My husband will be having dentures made in the next month and I have a few more teeth that I want fixed and I will for sure be a repeat customer. Thank You Aspen Dental for showing your true side up front during my first inital phone call-You saved me alot of grief and word of mouth I am sure will save alot of others!

#407107

Aspen dental Florence, A very warming front desk lady but very upset with what I witnessed with management. The total of lack of respect for Co workers and the Dr sickened me.

If this is the way they treat their Co workers then how do they treat their patients? Well let me tell you that its more less if you don't have the money or unable to show you have money then get the *** out! This is how I was treated by the "treatment coordinator" and I will not be returning.

I feel sorry for the staff there and how they are treated including the doctor..with very little respect! Aspen should advertise if you have lots of money please see us if you are on a budget please do not waste our time.

AVOID ASPEN DENTAL... COULD HAVE KILLED ME

I had a tooth pulled in august, went fine felt great. a few weeks ago i started getting pain at the extraction site, waited a week to see if it would go away. nope, went back to aspen, the xray tech was so incompetent and i heard her talking *** on my mouth piercings.... after 20 min dentist comes back, looks, says the extraction site LOOKS good, taps a few teeth, no pain when she does that. pushes on my gums where the extraction was, i wanted to die. she said it was probably another tooth radiating... this was last week, this week i cant take it anymore and i look with a magnified mirror and flashlight, and there is freaking BONE sticking out, and an abscess!! which could kill me if i hadnt found it... going to a different dentist tomorrow.. and they missed it a week ago. SMDH...
