I will never go to any Aspen Dental again.

We're seniors citizen living in Palm Coast, Fl. retired ages 68 yrs and 72 yrs old so we have been around for awhile. Everyone was friendly at first at Aspen Dental but when we started asking questions staff demeanor change as if we shouldn't as questions. Doctors are suppose to "do no harm" and care for new and old patient. I thought I could trust this doctor to take of me. My experience on November 14, 2018 and I will never forget that day. The Doctor was Savanna Peterson . Dr. Rennie was great and his wife was great too. If you have to go to the dentist at Aspen Dental ask for Dr. Rennie or his wife both of them are "Great"

Any decent young dentist who works for Aspen will be gone in less than a year. Nobody with any conscience want to work for these crooks for long.

You thought you could trust them? Why? You think you can trust Wall Street con artists who think they can illegally muscle into the dental profession to make a quick buck? That is like trusting the Mafia to refinance your house.

Because of no state income tax, Florida is FILLED with good dentists. There are TWO dental schools in your state.

Yet you decided to go to the crookedest dental clinic around! For goodness sakes, find an honest independent dentist before the Aspen malpractice team does a number on your mouth!

*** filling fell out they won’t fix

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I have spoken to the office mamamger Bryan and he is more concerned with threatening to have me removed than to accommodate a patient. I have had a filling in my front tooth less than 2 months and it fell out from flossing. They are telling me I can only come in during the afternoon after knowing I have a college course I cannot miss. They refuse to give me an appointment to fix the filling they screwed up on and they are making me pay a new co pay for a filling that I have already paid a co pay on.

You are there to serve A$pen not the other way around. They block off certain time for high-profit procedures.

The time you want is probably part of that time. Replacing a failed filling will be a no charge procedure.

Generally, no-charge procedures are given last priority at A$pen. Remember, objective #1 at that joint is to generate enough revenue to please the execs at corporate headquarters.

Care Credit Payment

September of 2018 my husband had upper teeth pulled and denture made. They used all my insurance and all that i had available from Care Credit. I still owed around $800 still. They set up a payment plan for me of $65 a month. I went in approximately 30 to 45 days later needing a new top denture myself. We was given more money through Care Credit and my bill was taken care of. I wanted to pay my husbands remaining bill today with what credit i have left on my Care Credit account. I was tols Aspen Dental has a contract with Care Credit that they do not accept the card if the bill is over 90 days due. So, i said i have the money to pay you, but you would rather turn it over to collections. I was never told i had 90 days to pay. I called Care Credit and they said if there is money there they can use it. The whole thing sounds stupid. This was at the Angola, Indiana store.

Wow! You trusted yours AND your husband's teeth to Aspen.

If they see teeth, they will recommend pulling them.

Once they are gone, it is expensive to go back and have implants. You sure are a trusting soul, lady!

Received three different price quotes for service.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Obtained appointment due to tooth ache. Dentist advised tooth needed to be extracted in addition to more extractions, caps and a bridge. Due being on blood thinner had to discontinue medication for 5 days before having extraction. Before leaving was qutoted price of over $11000. dollars for proposed procedure told them i wanted to get second opinion. They then dropped the price to $8200. Decidedto proceed with the proposed procedure. Went back to get tooth extracted and they begin to prep the wrong tooth. Stopped them and they said that tooth had to come out anyway. I insisted they pull the tooth that was hurting. Tried to get dentist to explain and answer questions about work he had recommended. He told me "to tell him what I wanted him to do and he would do it." and I needed to discuss my concers with front office. After the extraction waited to talk with front office and advised that price was now $8900. I showed the quote of $8200. I had received on my initial vist and was told that person who gave me that quote was out and that she would call me later that day to discuss it with me. It has now been five days and nothing heard. This all occurred in two week period in January 2019 at the Calhoun Georgia office.

$8200 or $11,000, either is a gyp with crummy Chinese crowns. Don't know much about Georgia, but it has a dental school, and it is hard to believe there are not any alternatives to an organized crime syndicate like Aspen for care.

Did you sign an informed consent for the extractions? Such a consent should include the number(s) of the teeth to be extracyted. If they extracted a different tooth that was on the informed consent, they are in trouble I bet they got you to pay that $8200 up front, didn't they?

Better get as much of that money back as you can, before this chain of gyp joints bankrupts. They go incredible mountains of debt, you know.

The staff and service were wonderful. Here’s the issue. I paid almost $3000 for a comfylite set. 2 days ago I found out that these are NOT comfylite but a basic set. I tried emailing them directly but it gets returned saying “Your message can't be delivered because delivery to this address is restricted”

Well, here is a surprise. You are better off WITHOUT the Comfy-Junk dentures.

The flexible material does not bond reliably to denture teeth, and the teeth often fall out. With regular heat-cured acrylic dentures, this virtually never happens. There is no advantage to using the flexible nylon-like material to make dentures.

That is why almost no regular dentists do it. With Aspen, that junk is advertising hype and a way to filch more money from your pocket!

That may be the case but I’ve spent a lot more money for them and should either get what I paid for or be refunded the difference from what I actually received

Trying to get a credit refunded from these sharks is harder than trying to pry matter from a Black Hole in outer space. Prepare for a grand run-around. Wouldn't it have been easier to deal with an honest dentist from the beginning?

Billing issue

I have a billing issue from charges standing back to May 30, 2017 I am calling about accounts 776-****. There were charges that were never submitted properly to my health insurance and so my dental insurance will not pay for it. The dental insurance asked Aspen to get a exclamation of benefits for teeth 17 and 32 and all the office did was resubmit the bills for teeth 16 and one that we already paid for. These charges an Allen collection and I reported on my credit report. I would like for them to be removed from my credit report So I can work with your office to get these charges correctly taken care of. I am fully willing to pay anything that I truly do. And I would like to work with Aspen in good faith. Please either give me a call at 770-337-**** or email me at so I can work with your office to get these charges correctly taken care of. I am fully willing to pay anything that I truly do owe. And I would like to work with Aspen in good faith. Please either give me a call at 770-337-**** or email me at craigwilliams86@***.com.

The dentist I was seeing was nice at first however he was trying to talk me into implants , he told me how great they were, they would be better than my own teeth. they would not yellow , or need much care. Just a cleaning once a year. I gave in, worst mistake I ever made. It has been aimost a year and I still have no teeth that work. He didn't tell me if there was anything from preventing me from having implants. i didn't know about shallow pallet or not having enough bone to support implants. it was only after having my teeth pulled and not being able to use the temporary dentures that I realized I had made a BIG mistake. Saw several other dentist to see if they could help. I was told that I would need surgery to have bone graphs and I needed a special dentist to try to help. $12,000 later and 2 surgeries I still have nothing. I don't leave my house except to go to a doctor appointment. I,m too ashamed to be seen in public. Out of money and so very tired of my new life. Solitude. That,s my story.

Yanked all your teeth for an implant-supported prosthesis, did he? Were you informed how much that complicated treatment costs?

About $27,000 per arch!!!! By the way, implant patients need to be seen AT LEAST twice a year, not once. Perhaps you can go to a fallback of just a couple of implants per arch and implant overdentures.

That will certainly cost a lot less. Dang, Aspen is the last place ANYONE should go for implants!!!!

In November I had 10 teeth pulled that was supposed to only be 6, it is now February 6, 2019, and am told it is going to be at least 2 more visits. the dentist name is Yang, he is extremely rough and very rude and in a language i can barely understand, tells me he is not rough, as the tears run down my cheek from the pain. I am into this almost $6,000 and am trying to get to the end. I have the reg. manager phone #720-278-**** (Ryan regional manager for Roswell NM) and can not even get him on the phone. I can not get anyone, only machines to talk to. I have tried to leave a review on their web site and it will not post, i guess if it is negative they reject it and all of the reviews they have are excellent. The add on TV said 40% discount (should have taped it) and exam and ex-rays free for the first visit. The 40% tuned into 20% and the ex-rays we are still trying to get off the bill. if you have not all ready went don't. It has been a trip to *** Erika

What's the matter, Erika? You believed TV ads?

Mad that things advertised for free on TV were charged for? Well, start doubting stuff you see on TV, and that includes Dr. Oz as well Got news for you. No dentist can offer a 40% discount and stay in business.

Unless his regular fees are 40% too high to start with. Than manager and regional manager don't want to return your calls. They don't want to talk to you. They don't want to get your bill "straightened out." Why?

There is no commission in it for them. They had rather keep your money and you just give up and go away. That Yang guy was probably employed on an H1B visa. Aspen loves dentists like that.

Refuse to cooperate with Aspen's scams, and it is back to the third world they go! Of course negative reviews don't go live on their website. Half the good reviews on the website are written by their own employees.

Erika, no health professional that had to advertise on TV to get enough patients is someone you would want to go to. You made a big mistake going to this pack of bandits instead of an independent dentist

You need counseling, and a life.

Go fix some teeth you "seasoned dentist" and leave everyone else alone. No one asked for your stupid comments, and all the negativity you bring with it.

Worst dental experience ever!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Went to aspen for my normal cleaning my insurance provides every 6 mos & they took at least 25-30 xrays I lost count my mouth hurt to bad I told them that to begin with they kept saying just a few more! Then they take me back to the chair for my “cleaning”, no a “dentist” came back and poked at my gums counting numbers then telling me I need my wisdom teeth out...I’m 38 I think I would’ve been told this in the past...and for me to come back to get cleaning it’ll be $200 some and all my wisdom teeth out close to $500

ANY dentist HAS TO do a complete exam on a new patient before performing treatment. Dental cleanings are not like car washes, buddy!

How was the new A$pen dentist supposed to know that many dentists before told you to have your wisdom teeth out? If so many dentists have told you that, you really think they were all wrong.

I know it peeves patients, but it is not always possible to do the initial exam, x-rays, and cleaning at the same first appointment. That being said, picking A$pen for your dental care is one of the worst decisions you could have possibly made

Try actually reading this one. They state "I’m 38 I think I would’ve been told this in the past" meaning they were NOT told this before. Geez, get a life.

Under almost all states' practice law, patients have a RIGHT to COPIES of their dental records. Most states allow a reasonable charge.

No need to pester those A$pen bandits anymore. Time to file a written report with your state board of dentistry saying A$pen refused to provide a copy of your records. Before you do that, however, it would be prudent to send A$pen a demand via certified letter to send copies of your records. With the certified mail card, you will have evidence to present to your state dental board. But a big problem is state boards can only discipline licensed dentists and hygienists, not other employees of shyster chain clinics.

That is the big problem with going to corporate chain dental clinics is you have very limited options under the law when you are cheated or treated badly. For that reason alone, it is better to go to an independent dentist who owns his practice.

All you have done is call ? It's not a request , it's a demand. Put it in writing and serve via Certified Mail Return Receipt Requested.

Fillings keep falling out

I went to an Aspen location to get 5 fillings in mid December and since then I have been back 6 times literally to have some of them re-done because they keep falling out and the teeth that do have fillings are still very sensitive.. the ONLY reason why I have been back so many times is because I don't want to have to pay all over again somewhere else for something I already paid for.

Let me guess. They used white plastic fillings everywhere including back teeth.

Fillings that wear out in no time and leak all over the place. You think Aspen will fix them right? They got your money. Anything else is no charge procedures, which mean no commission for the young dentists who work there.

Fat chance anything will get fixed. Best go to a competent dentist in private practice. At least he may be able to seal them with some sort of penetrating resin that will stop the sensitivity.

WARNING- those kinds of fillings get new decay under them very easily. Silver amalgam is a much more reliable material.

You need open heart surgery. But your insurance company doesn't cover it.

Do you then request gall bladder removal, just because it will be covered at 100%? No, of course not! If you truly have gum pockets and need scalings, a simple cleaning will not do any good. Problem is, A$pen's favorite scam is to plan deep scalings on patients with healthy gums.

Why you went to a shyster outfit like A$pen is a mystery. Time to go to an honest independent dentist and find out if you even need deep scaling or not.
